Creating custom icon sets is no small feat, a lot of time and effort goes into each design. 2D models are created using a combination of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop, while 3D images are created using modelling software and then exported to Photoshop for texturing and lighting. As you can imagine, working to a small square area has its limitations. You can create a hyper-realistic render of an instrument, but as soon as you import that image into the mixer the details become hard to see or cause the image to appear less clear. Less is definitely more.
When I get emails from award winning composers and hobbyists musicians telling me how their "2000+ channel templates are so much easier to work with!" or how "I can't work with out these", really puts a big smile on my face and makes all that time and effort worth while. Today, I'm excited to announce the release of these new products, further expanding the range of mixer icons now available for Cubase & Nuendo. Introducing GDB, Drums & Mix Essentials.
